Jennifer Kamiaz, Chandler, AZ
I will not compromise my beliefs and myself for a “moment of pleasure.”

Abstain, according to Webster, is to refrain deliberately and often with an effort of self-denial from an action or practice. I have personally chosen to abstain from premarital sex. I made this decision based on the physical, emotional and spiritual repercussions that follow premarital sex. I have many dreams and goals that I am striving ot achieve before I begin a family and having a child will definitely hinder and prevent my plans. I know that I am not prepared for the responsibility emotionally to care for another human being, let alone a dependent child.

Finally, I believe the Bible directly commands us to keep our bodies pure and that sex is a bonding that should only be experienced by a married couple. I will not compromise my beliefs and myself for a “moment of pleasure,” but instead save myself for a pure relationship with my husband.
