The benefits of remaining pure until marriage are great!
Lisa and I made the decision to save the gift of sex for marriage early in our relationship. Upon deciding this, we also agreed to control the physical aspects of our relationship as well. We made the decisions largely due to the fact that we are supposed to remain holy and pure.
The benefits of remaining pure until marriage are great! The spiritual aspect outweighs the others; however, the health factors and emotional factors also play a huge role in our choice. We did not choose to abstain to make us feel “good”; rather, we chose to abstain because it is commanded in the Word to flee sexual immorality. God also has given us control over the sexual desires, for which we are thankful. Having sex before marriage is not the thing to do because it is simply wrong. We can make excuses all day long; however we need to control our bodies.
